Terms of Service
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TrueMe mobile application (“App”), operated by Martin Karwacki (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the App, you accept these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use TrueMe. If you are under the age of 18, you represent that you have permission from a legal guardian.
3. User Account
Authentication occurs via a verified mobile phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and restricting access to your device.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
• upload illegal, harmful, hateful, discriminatory, or harassing content
• impersonate another person
• share non-consensual images of any individual
• circumvent security measures
• reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the App
• send unwanted or abusive friend requests
We may remove content or suspend accounts for violations.
5. Ownership of Your Content
You retain full ownership of your photos and posts. We store and display content solely within the App to the friends you approve.
You grant us a limited, revocable license to store, transmit, and display your content solely for the operation of the App.
6. Content Removal & DMCA-Style Policy
We respect rights holders and personal rights. You may request removal of:
• your own images
• images involving you, uploaded without your consent
• content that infringes intellectual property
• harmful or abusive material
Requests may be sent to support@gettrueme.com and will be reviewed promptly.
7. Children’s Protection (GDPR-K)
We do not knowingly process data of users under 13 years old. If we become aware of such an account, we will delete it promptly.
8. Service Availability
The App is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may modify or discontinue features at any time.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for:
• indirect or consequential damages
• data loss
• unauthorized access beyond reasonable control
• service interruptions
• user-generated content
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where prohibited by law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria and applicable EU regulations. Consumers retain any mandatory protections granted under their local laws.
11. Dispute Resolution
We encourage contacting us first at support@gettrueme.com.
If unresolved, disputes may be brought before:
• Austrian courts, or
• your local EU consumer protection authority.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms as needed. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how TrueMe processes personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.
TrueMe is operated from the United States, and data is stored on servers located in the USA via Supabase.
Even though data is hosted outside the EU, we continue to apply GDPR principles to protect all users.
2. Data We Collect
We only collect what is necessary to operate the App:
• Phone number (hashed in our own user database)
• Username & avatar
• Birthdate (age verification)
• Time zone
• Friends list & friend requests
• Posts and photos you choose to upload
• Device push notification token
• Basic error logs & performance data (non-identifying)
We do not track your activity across apps or websites.
3. Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6)
We process personal data on the following bases:
• Contract performance (to operate the App)
• Consent (contacts matching, notifications)
• Legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse)
• Legal obligations (e.g., responding to data requests)
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
• authenticate your account
• match contacts (if permission granted)
• display posts to your accepted friends
• deliver notifications
• maintain security & prevent abuse
• comply with legal requirements
5. No Advertising & No Data Sale
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
• We do not track you for marketing purposes.
6. Data Sharing
We share data only with:
• Supabase (USA region) – hosting, authentication, storage
• Apple – device-level services (push notifications, crash reporting)
All partners operate under data-processing agreements that meet modern privacy standards.
7. International Transfers
Because our backend is hosted in the United States, personal data is transferred outside the EU.
We use:
• GDPR-aligned contractual protections
• technical safeguards such as encryption
• strict access controls
By using the App, EU users consent to this transfer.
8. Cookies & Tracking
The App does not use cookies or third-party tracking.
Only essential technical storage may occur (e.g., caching).
9. Data Retention
We retain your data only while your account is active.
When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently erased.
10. Your GDPR Rights
You may request at any time to:
• access your data
• correct inaccurate data
• delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• restrict or object to processing
• request portability
• withdraw consent

11. Children
